Fans of Nigerian football club side, Enyimba FC of Aba, will get the chance to watch their team play again on their home ground soon, according to the governor of Abia state.
Governor Okezie Ikpeazu made this promise during his inspection of the reconstruction work going on at the Eyinmba stadium in Aba.
Ikpeazu showed satisfaction with the level of work currently going on in the stadium. He said he would try to meet up with expectation of Abians and Nigerians who are desperate to have Enyimba back at the stadium soon.
He apologised to Enyimba fans for the delay in the work being done due to poor fund but promised that the work would be completed by early next year.
He promised to give the people of the state an international standard facility through the adoption of a holistic project execution approach that will lead to a total overhaul of the facility from entry point through the modern Astro turf pitch to the stands.
