Ministers from the South African government are in Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe for crisis talks with the ousted president Robert Mugabe and military leaders who have seized control.
They intend to reach a deal on the future of Mugabe who has been in charge for 37 years.
Sources suggest that Mr Mugabe maybe resisting pressure to resign. They say that he still insists that he is the legitimate president.
The southern African Development community (Sadc) regional bloc have held an emergency talk on Zimbabwe.
